Job Description

The Division Manufacturing Technician is responsible for supporting build, manufacturing and flow of products developed and industrialized by the Division Eng. Team (CET). The Division Manufacturing Technician will contribute to division growth and profitability by supporting the manufacturing of new and existing parts using current and new production equipment and techniques.

A critical aspect of this role is to assist in the scheduling, execution and record keeping helping PCC Aerostructures develop cost effective solutions and move toward an advanced manufacturing environment.

Key duties

  • Manage the engineering tool database within TDM software; ensuring all standards are maintained.
  • Work with Programmers and AE's to determine tooling components
  • Manage tool library, protecting against unnecessary expansion
  • Tool Build Verification Programming (Zoller, Heimer or eqiuv.)
  • Create Inspection routines on the Zoller
  • Work with IMC (and other vendors) to develop new tools and track project status
  • Troubleshoot tooling issues in Catia and Vericut
  • Tap test and gage cut new tools to determine the cutting parameters stored in TDM
  • Work with appropriate vendors to enhance the capabilities of TDM
  • Facilities and Maintenance as needed

Requirements

The Division Manufacturing Technician will need to work to understand technology, and best practices for manufacturing as set forth by the Engineers. each product, and work to support throughout the product life cycle as needed.

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience in an aerostructures or aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Strong ability to organize work, adapt to priority changes, and meet challenging deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills

In depth knowledge of metal machining and manufacturing
