Primary Duties & Responsibilities: * Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction. * Adheres to quality processes to include performing process system performance checks to ensure compliance with quality specifications. * Correctly interpret approved work instruction to process parts, document results. * Preform basic NDT support tasks (staging work, etc.) See NAS410 - 5.1.3 * Work in a team environment, i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed. * Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Required Skills: * Basic English language skills and the ability to read, follow, and interpret planning and work order instructions * The ability to perform basic shop math, fractions, decimals * The ability to use basic inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers * The ability to read and interpret work instructions and basic prints and dimensions * Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office Experience & Education * 0 to 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment; prior military experience; or technical certification / degree * GED or High School diploma * Successful completion of formal classroom training and On-The-Job Training experience hours in NDT method. * Successfully pass Vision, Written, and Practical examinations for certification. Working Conditions: * Constant exposure to indoor manufacturing environment * Constant exposure to moderate noise * Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes, odors, hot / cold temperatures, inside / outside noise vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces. * Must be able to work any shift including overtime, weekends and holidays if scheduled. Physical Requirements: * Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to thirty-five (35) pounds on a repetitive basis. * Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist and work at heights on an intermittent basis for up to twelve (12) hours. * Requires hand manipulation including simple grasping, pushing and pulling of materials. * Must be able to safety operate an overhead crane. * Must be able to reach and work above and below the shoulder level. * Must be able to work with and around forklifts and hazardous machinery. * Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment. * Visual acuity skill to detect any flaws in the parts being inspected.
