This position supports COLUMBIA Class. The Waterfront Manufacturing Engineer provides engineering and design construction support for submarines. This position requires that the Engineer work in a design, build and sustain environment to develop build strategies and conceptualize methods and fixtures required for fabricating and assembling submarine components, structures, ship's systems and associated modules. Primary responsibilities for a manufacturing engineer will be identification and development of methods and tools required by the shipbuilder. Electric Boat offers Flexible Work Arrangements that allows some work to be performed remotely and at home. This varies from position to position based on the amount of classified material the department interacts with, as well as a few other variables. Qualifications Required:
Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
