Description
This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the top law firms in the U.S.! Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is looking for a Facilities Assistant to join our team in our Washington D.C. office. This is an essential position that will require five day in-office.
The Facilities Assistant will work closely with the Office Administrator and the Facilities Coordinator to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of the office environment. This role involves a variety of tasks including assisting vendors, supporting office layout changes, handling mail, and efficiently managing office services tasks.

On a typical day you will:
  • Assist in the daily operations of the office facilities.
  • Set-up/Breakdown: Assist with setting up and breaking down rooms for meetings and events.
  • Perform daily walkthroughs to ensure all areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for larger repairs and maintenance projects.
  • Support office layout changes and furniture arrangements.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Respond to employee requests regarding facilities issues.
  • Maintain records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Prepare copy jobs and create binders as needed.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail efficiently.
  • Efficiently manage office services tasks.
  • Physical demands include lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 or more years of facilities experience in a law firm environment preferred.
  • Spanish-speaking ability is a bonus
  • Experience with data entry.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Problem-solving skills to address facilities-related issues.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize.
  • Physical ability to lift and move items weighing 40-60 pounds.

District of Columbia
The annualized salary range for this position in Washington D.C. is $53,000 to $58,000 ($27.18-$29.74 hourly). Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, telemedicine and virtual short term solution based counseling services, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, subsidized backup care and caregiving resources, 401(k), vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program.
