The Opportunity

The Director of Strategy will play a critical role in shaping TC Energy's strategic direction, steward the Capital Allocation Governance process to drive long-term value creation, and support enterprise-wide strategic planning and execution.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain comprehensive strategic plans aligned with organizational goals
• Lead cross-functional strategic initiative development
• Conduct in-depth strategic analysis and market research
• Prepare detailed strategic recommendations for executive leadership
• Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape

• Facilitate the Capital Allocation Committee meetings chaired by the CEO
• Coordinate with the Project Risk Review Committee, Project Delivery System and business units to ensure all governance requirements have been fulfilled
• Provide commentary and analysis to the Capital Allocation Committee on each project ahead of the Committee meeting

• Facilitate annual strategic planning process
• Develop and track key strategic performance indicators
• Support business unit strategic planning
• Create financial modeling and scenario planning
• Assess potential investment opportunities and strategic risks

• Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic priorities
• Engage with business units and corporate functions to align strategic objectives
• Present strategic insights to senior leaders and board committees
• Support external and internal communications of strategic initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years strategic planning experience in energy/infrastructure sector
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
• Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities
