How you will make an impact Leading Halozyme's Talent Acquisition team, the Director of Human Resources - Talent Acquisition plays a crucial role within the Human Resources Leadership Team. Working closely with senior business leaders and HRBPs, this position focuses on developing business and operational plans to ensure a consistent and efficient candidate acquisition strategy with an emphasis on transforming Talent Acquisition into an innovative, scalable function that remains dedicated to attracting top talent. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:
Lead the Talent Acquisition team, focusing on roles across functions in the US, with a strong emphasis on sourcing and attracting top talent, efficiency, and delivering results Lead the transformation from our current state to a new model and structure, realigning recruiting team, introducing new capabilities, and spearheading the streamlining and simplifying of processes to focus on the candidate experience Partner with senior leaders, Hiring Managers and HRBPs to develop and operationalize a recruitment strategy to fulfill hiring objectives Develop and manage a team Create and drive diverse talent pipeline programs Identify, share and action talent insights and trends in the external talent marketplace Work across the HR landscape partnering with Total Rewards, HR operations and Learning & Development to support hiring needs Effectively manage volumes of recruiting peaks and troughs to ensure a sustainable and scalable TA solution Manage external search firms when vendor partner services are needed Develop team's ability to participate in recruitment functions including job fairs, conferences and career events, targeting unique applicant populations Create and implement strategic employer branding initiatives to attract top talent, enhancing the company's reputation as an employer of choice through targeted marketing campaigns, social media engagement and partnerships Integrate AI-driven tools and technologiesto enhance recruitment processes, including candidate sourcing, screening, and engagement, ensuring a data-driven approach to talent acquisition
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
Bachelor's degree with minimum of 15 years of recruiting experience in healthcare/biopharma industry (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered) Minimum of 5 years of TA leadership experience managing a recruiting team, including teams in remote/hybrid and/or geographic disparate locations In-depth knowledge of Talent Acquisition nuances and best practices in life sciences, medical device manufacturing, or biotech is preferred Proven experience using Workday and LinkedIn for talent acquisition, including advanced analytics to drive data-informed recruitment strategies and optimize hiring processes Ability to manage service delivery through an RPO/vendor partner and deliver on hiring objectives for the business Demonstrate strong business acumen with the ability to translate strategic objectives into Talent Acquisition priorities Advanced project management skills

The most likely base pay range for this position is $165K - $231K per year. Several factors, such as experience, tenure, skills, and particular business needs, will determine an individual's exact level of compensation. Base salary is only one element of employee compensation at Halozyme. Total compensation could include bonuses, sales incentives, and equity awards.
