Overview
Responsible for assisting the craft recruiting team in managing the hiring onboarding process. Recruiting Coordinator aids the recruiting team on basic administrative tasks related to the recruitment and onboarding process, to ensure a positive and efficient experience for current and prospective candidates. Responsible for timely communication with project teams regarding new hires to help support a successful first day experience. Utilizes software, websites, and personal networks as sourcing tools to assist with prospecting of exempt and non-exempt employees.
Responsibilities
- Work with HR and other relevant departments to coordinate onboarding of new craft hires
- Communicate with operations of new hires starting on projects
- Initiate online onboarding process, drug screens, and background checks as needed
- Monitor recruiting phone line and return all calls
- Assist candidates with online application process
- Assist with logistics and planning to support projects for career fairs
- Take on an array of special projects that advance the mission of our recruiting team
- Assist internal recruiting team in establishing and maintaining craft candidate pipelines
- Accurately track applicants and candidates ensuring compliance with all applicable federal and state employment laws
- Source candidates using databases and social media as needed
- Use career websites and job boards to assist the team with prospecting potential candidates
- Works with HR Coordinators on coordination of new hires, reporting, and overall employee processes
- May assist Recruiters with sending onboarding paperwork to new hires and conducting a final review of pre-employment items prior to employee's start
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 0-2 years of recruiting or recruiting coordinator experience
- Construction experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to source and interview efficiently and effectively
- Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems and HR Systems; such as iCIMS and UKG preferred
- Proven ability to stay organized, prioritize, and multi-task
- Excellent computer skills including knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Suite
- Some travel is required
- Must be able to work through deadlines and meet goals for rapid turnaround times and metrics
- Be proactive and able to take initiative on your own to accomplish goals
- Solid knowledge of HR policies and best practices
- Hands on experience with various selection processes such as phone interviews and reference checks
