Job Description

Job Summary:

The Intermediate Solder Assembler performs various assembly tasks using complex hand soldering of RF microwave subassemblies including RF feeds, ribbons, magnet wires and coils.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Install, assemble and inspect electronic components during product assembly, per documented work instructions.
  • Interpret job routers, written instructions, wiring diagrams and schematic drawings for assembly of electronics.
  • Perform a variety of inspections to ensure assemblies meet or exceed standards.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, leadership and initiatives on a daily basis.
  • Disassemble and re-assemble, modify, rework assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:



  • Must have meticulous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of soldering experience.
  • Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) procedures.
  • Ability to read and follow assembly drawings and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work under microscope for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Experience using hand tools and their proper application.
  • Basic computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Electronics assembly and inspection experience.
  • IPC-610 experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • J-STD-001 Certified.
  • Knowledge of or Certified in IPC-A-610.

Prolonged sitting, pinching and gripping. Working under a microscope for long periods of time.
