The US Oncology Network is looking for an Applications Specialist - AthenaOne EHR to join our team at Texas Oncology! This full-time position will support our Richardson, Texas location.

What does the Applications Specialist - AthenaOne EHR do?

Under general supervision, implements, maintains, and resolves problems with the company's Applications. Masters the company's suite of information technologies to enhance processes, and communications and develops close relationships with users to ensure consistent customer service. Applies information technologies in the timely design, implementation and installation of high quality business solutions for the company. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.


Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Implements, maintains, troubleshoots and resolves problems relating to company Applications, including AthenaOne EHR.
  • Achieves a high level of customer service and communication with clients.
  • Gains a working knowledge of the company's business drivers and determines opportunities/benefits for improvement of business performance by using information technologies.
  • Ensures that network practices are effectively and efficiently supported in their use of technologies by providing creative problem solving and/or referring to other appropriate company resources.
  • Identifies and recommends technology opportunities for solving business problems.
  • Maintains a high level of understanding of the use of information technologies in healthcare in relation to physician practices, patient care, continuum of care, electronic medical records and clinical research.
  • Works with other IT staff to deploy company strategies in the field and resolve problems.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required, college degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of AthenaOne EHR experience.
  • Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
  • Clinical knowledge/experience preferred.
