Another Source's client, California State University, Dominguez Hills Toro Auxiliary Partners (TAP), is recruiting a Post Award Analyst II to join their growing team in Carson, CA.

Joining the Office of Sponsored Research and Programs (OSRP) means you'll support faculty, scholars, and campus departments in managing grants and contracts that fund meaningful, community-centered work. From environmental science to educational equity, your financial expertise ensures that CSUDH's research is compliant, effective, and impactful.

In this role, you won't just crunch numbers-you'll build relationships with principal investigators, provide top-tier customer service, and bring clarity to complex regulations. Salary Range: $68,640 - $80,000

Location: On-site in Carson, CA, with a Hybrid Schedule (2 days remote) after your first 90 days

Relocation assistance is not available for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

    Manage a portfolio of grant and contract accounts, ensuring fiscal accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Oversee award setup and closeout, perform invoicing or drawdowns, and authorize expenditures
  • Support payroll approvals, expense reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Provide budget monitoring, forecasting, and sponsor reporting
  • Serve as the central point of contact for Principal Investigators (PIs)
  • Guide PIs through post-award procedures and interpret award terms
  • Ensure alignment with Uniform Guidance, CSU policy, and sponsor regulations
  • Prepare and monitor subawards and assist with audits or sponsor requests
  • Collaborate with departments and offer input on process improvements

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Research Administration, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting, financial administration, or related roles
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and compliance best practices
  • Familiarity with Uniform Guidance or federal regulations related to sponsored programs
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a high-volume, detail-oriented environment

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in post-award administration or research funding environments
  • Knowledge of Department of Education funding, private grants, or contracts
  • Familiarity with CSU Sponsored Programs policies and Finance Enterprise
  • CRA or CFRA certification
  • Intermediate proficiency with Excel and common financial tools

Education Benefits: The CSU Employee Fee Waiver Program allows eligible staff or their eligible dependents to attend courses at any CSU for reduced rates at a maximum of two courses or six units per term, whichever is greater.

One of the big WOW's is that this position accrues 16 hours of vacation per month. That's 5 weeks of vacation per year in addition to the 13 paid holidays and 8 hours accrued per month of sick leave.
