What You'll Do in This Position

Perform the installation, inspection, calibration,
maintenance and repair of complex equipment, which
employ pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, chemical,
optical, electronic or electrical principles of
operation.

General responsibilities including working from
approved standard and special procedures. Usually
works under minimal supervision and occasionally
plans own work. Develop and perform lockouts.
Assemble and/or fabricate mechanical apparatus
from material and parts. Overhaul mechanical
equipment such as: compressors, pumps, agitators,
gear drives and fans returning their performance to design standards. Inspect and/or test parts and
assemblies to determine functional condition.
Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic
pneumatic systems to diagnose problems.

Must meet physical requirements for the essential
duties, which may include being able to handle 50
pounds, climbing, bending, twisting, exposure to
extreme temperature and wearing protective
clothing/equipment (including respiratory) and meet
Rad Con requirements.

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications We Require

Candidates must have completed ACT WorkKeys
Skills assessment and achieved minimum scores of 2
in Workplace Observation, 4 in Locating Information
OR 3 in Graphic Literacy, and 4 in Applied
Technology. (Graphic Literacy replaced Locating
Information on 10/1/2017.) (Official documentation
must be provided to the company for consideration
of employment. Results must be uploaded into
BrassRing at the time the application is submitted
online.) Test scores must within the last five years.
Associates Degree in one of the following or
equivalent: Mechanical Engineering Technology,
Industrial Maintenance, Machine Technology, General
Technology, OR four years of related experience or
training equivalent to qualification standards.
Selected candidates must also pass the Maintenance
Unit skills test administered by the Site Maintenance
Training personnel. Must be able to work rotating
shifts.

Other Qualifications

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a L or Q Security Clearance.

Students from Technical schools/colleges who are in their final semester that have not yet graduated may apply and could be considered for employment prior to and contingent upon graduation.

Qualifications We Desire

AS Degree Industrial Maintenance or related or Maintenance Experience.
