Position Title: Grinder Wage: $18.00 - $19.20/hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 4:00pm - 12:30am Reached a dead end at your current job? Check out how this position can create a new path! QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Grinder at a company in Lincolnshire, IL. This is a temporary position for 2nd shift. Apply now! Grinder Responsibilities: - Operate machine after machine has been set up and verified by supervisor - Verify tolerances by performing inspection of first 5 pieces and then bringing pieces to inspector for final inspection - Once pieces pass inspection, continue running job based on blueprint and drawing specifications - Bring completed orders to shipping - Maintain clean work environment - Comply with safety and sanitation regulations Requirements for Grinder: - At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment - Willingness to learn precision grinding - Comfortable working around machinery in a fast-paced environment - Basic knowledge of measurement tools including micrometers (digital or dial), roundness gauge, comparator, cylindricity gauge - Strong attention to detail - Able to follow instructions in English - Able to read blueprints - Able to meet quality and entry level productivity standards - Able to work in a team environment - Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistance - Able to stand for long periods of time gurnee@qpsemployment.com IND019 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
