Position Title: Buyer Wage: $55,000 - $75,000/year Are your skills not being fully utilized? Reach your maximum potential by working with QPS! Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions has a great opportunity available for a Buyer at a company in Hanover Park, IL. This is a direct hire position. Apply today! Buyer Responsibilities: - Prepare and process RFQs and Purchase Orders for goods, raw materials, and supplies. - Negotiate with vendors; obtain and analyze quotes for best cost, payment terms, and delivery options. - Expedite purchase orders and internal customer requests as needed. - Support engineering and sales teams in obtaining RFQs. - Drive cost savings through continuous improvement. - Collaborate with vendors and internal quality teams on defective goods/services to determine root cause and corrective actions. - Manage inventory of raw materials and monthly cycle counts. - Resolve shortages and supplier issues. - Research alternative suppliers to ensure uninterrupted supply of key materials. - Monitor, track, and provide feedback on supplier performance (delivery and quality). - Perform supplier evaluations monthly and supplier audits as needed. - Support Accounts Payable in resolving invoice discrepancies.
