The Associate Director supports the Eisai Global Oncology Business Unit for the Americas, EMEA, Japan, China, and Asia, by:
*Leading the development of Market / Commercial assessments for new products, indications, and formulations.
*Conducting expert analysis of Oncology markets to identify key insights and associated implications.
*Developing clear plans and recommendations to support core planning and decision-making processes
*Supporting forecasting programs and activities for in-line assets
*Partnering with cross-functional colleagues and Senior Leaders to drive program plans and decision making

Job Summary

The Associate Director supports the Eisai Global Oncology Business Unit for the Americas, EMEA, Japan, China, and Asia, by:

  • Leading the development of Market / Commercial assessments for new products, indications, and formulations.
  • Conducting expert analysis of Oncology markets to identify key insights and associated implications.
  • Developing clear plans and recommendations to support core planning and decision-making processes.
  • Supporting forecasting programs and activities for in-line assets
  • Partnering with cross-functional colleagues and Senior Leaders to drive Program Plans and decision making.

Essential Functions

  • Leadership of Commercial Development plans and activities for allocated Oncology pipeline programs including, but not limited to, market analysis, sales forecasting, and NPV analysis.
  • Working closely with cross-functional colleagues to provide Commercial Development input and recommendations to shape clinical program plans, activities, and deliverables e.g. Clinical Development
  • Plan, Governance meeting deliverables.
  • Support the development of Global sales and manufacturing forecasts for in-line assets, working closely with Global and Region colleagues as-required.
  • Support the development of Global Forecast assumptions to support the development of sales forecasts in Regions.
  • Leadership, and support, of the identification and implementation of solutions which optimize the effectiveness of core business processes and activities.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support the identification and assessment of potential in-licensing opportunities.
  • Leadership of Competitive Intelligence plans and activities for pipeline programs, with regular updates provided to cross-functional colleagues.
  • Identification and leadership of vendors and external stakeholders as required.
  • Leadership of pipeline program budget development and management.
  • Provide back-up support for colleagues as required.
  • Ad-hoc responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience working in a similar role within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Oncology disease area.
  • Strong ability to interpret complex information and identify key insights and associated implications.
  • Highly proficient strategic-thinking skills
  • Extensive experience of developing clear recommendations underpinned by high-quality analysis.
  • Proven track record of operating in dynamic environments with an ability to thrive in ambiguity and complexity.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder (internal / external) management capabilities, with experience within matrix structures.
  • Ability to work autonomously, with an appetitive for proactive problem-solving.
  • Solid understanding of data sources and analytical techniques.
  • Excellent project management skills.
