Job Description
Position Summary

The Fulfillment Lead position is responsible for overseeing daily supply chain operations, ensuring schedules are met and quality standards are maintained.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Directs the daily stockroom activity for all functions, including prioritizing workload for job pulls. Monitoring the timely processing of incoming shipments and stocking the items in the warehouse. Maintains all kiting and shortage pulls to support manufacturing operations. Schedules all manpower requirements for shipping, receiving and the stockroom.
  • Coordinates all requirements (within Shipping, Receiving and Stockroom) of Customer Service department to meet customer requirements for delivery and accuracy of RMA's and shipments.
  • Coordinates with other departments and department managers, such as LIM, Vision, packaging, quality control to ensure smooth workflow and schedule adherence.
  • Reviews shipping notices, bills of landing, invoices, orders, Customer Service requirements and other records to determine priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
  • Ensure accuracy and timelines of all inventory transactions and physical movement of materials from receipt to stocking, to distribution.
  • Training and validation of training for supply chain staff, providing guidance and best practices for safety, quality and production.
  • Maintains accuracy of inventory by cycle count, physical inventories, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Oversees outgoing shipment activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments.
  • Participates with Purchasing and Customer Service to reduce shipping expense through carrier contracts.
  • Plans layout of stockroom, warehouse, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored.
  • Trained in basic operations of assembly and/or equipment necessary to perform the job assigned.
  • Sets up and operates a packaging machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Fills, secures, and labels containers according to company and/or customer specifications.
  • Verifies goods packaged against package invoices.
  • Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion.
  • Documents inventory number and weight and organizes packages.
  • May make minor repairs to packaging equipment as needed.
  • Develop procedures and train employees on stock transaction procedures, and proper material handling.
  • Coordinates with other departments activities between shifts.
  • Actively participates in all continuous improvement activities in logistics.
  • Ensure all SSP safety policies and procedures are followed and maintained


Qualifications and Education

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Supply Chain or Operations Management
  • Minimum of 3 Years of Supply Chain experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • High-level understanding of all aspects of supply chain processes.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, collaborative, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to make value-added contributions in cross-functional project teams
  • Execution oriented with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
  • Proficiency with ERP software
