This opportunity is in the Accounting & Finance department
Our Accounting & Finance department is dynamic and collaborative. Role Description:
As an Accountant I, Financial Reporting, you will join a highly skilled and technical team responsible for key functions within our monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes. In this role, you'll assist with journal entries, reconciliations, tie-outs, and the creation of management reports for Safety National and its subsidiaries. You'll support general and underwriting expense accounting, work closely with managers across the department, and contribute to ad-hoc and strategic financial analysis. From running insurance reports and compiling regulatory footnotes to preparing internal and board-level presentations, you'll gain comprehensive exposure to financial operations in a dynamic insurance environment. Qualifications:

Education:
A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.

Required Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the insurance industry or relevant accounting roles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • This position allows for a hybrid work schedule which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our St. Louis Corporate Office, located at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO. All employees are required to submit work from home requests and follow our Work From Home policy, which will be provided to all candidates selected to interview.

Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
