The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Donor Stewardship Specialist contributes to the overall success of WWP and the Resource Development team by monitoring databases, regularly reviewing reporting, and effectively stewarding and tracking WWP donors.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effectively articulate WWP's history, mission, vision, and programs to potential funding sources effectively, both verbally and in writing.

  • Collaborate with the Donor Stewardship Associate Director to recommend and implement stewardship process improvements to best serve the Resource Development department to meet strategic fundraising goals.

  • Monitor and create revenue reporting for multiple giving levels.

  • Generate comprehensive revenue management reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, facilitating effective communication and streamlining the review process within the team. These reports cover various aspects, including but not limited to ACH, DAF, QCD, as well as contributions from mid-level and major donors.

  • Streamline processes such as coordinating Appeal Code changes among team members, ensuring uniform and accurate data for revenue reports.

  • Track and follow-up on donor recognition opportunities.

  • Work in partnership with various teams to collect data for identifying potential donors for mailing opportunities. Deliver essential reports on a regular basis (daily, weekly, and monthly) to support Resource Development teams, while also maintaining and updating databases to ensure the integrity of consistent data.

  • Create and validate reports based on donor data and ad hoc requests.

  • Support stewardship visits and special events, as needed.

  • Attend and actively participate in required training and/or meetings, including but not limited to New Teammate Orientation, WWP Cares, ASIST Suicide Prevention training, Leadership training, culture/team based training, or departmental huddles.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software, preferably Salesforce.

  • Effective organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize, delegate, and ensure that deadlines are met.

  • Demonstrated understanding of Wounded Warrior Project and its mission, values, programs, and services, and the impact of these programs and services on wounded warriors and their families.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise good judgment when working with sensitive matters.

  • High energy level. Self- starter; willing to take initiative.

  • Proficient using Microsoft Office, e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

  • Unequivocal commitment to the highest standards of personal and business ethics and conduct.

EXPERIENCE

Requirements

  • Two years of experience in donor stewardship.

  • Two years of experience with Salesforce NPSP, or similar CRM.

  • Experience in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint.

Preferences

  • Three years of experience working in a non-profit or philanthropic organization.

EDUCATION

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or related field. Equivalent combination of applicable education, training, certification, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
