Coordinator, Dual Credit Instructional Support - North Campus

Essential Job Functions:



  • Manage and maintain crosswalks between the college and ISD partners to ensure alignment of dual credit courses with institutional and state academic standards. This involves reviewing the Texas TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) and mapping them to the SJC (San Jacinto College) Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs). The coordinator will analyze current dual credit course offerings to ensure alignment and make recommendations for the development of new crosswalks that promote growth and expansion of the dual credit program.
  • Proactively track MOU renewal dates and initiate discussions with Dean of Dual Credit Partnerships in advance of expiration. Maintain accurate records of all MOUs, including signed agreements, communication, and any amendments. Ensure that documentation is readily accessible for audits, reviews, or reference by involved parties.
  • Oversee the process of course prediction and course requests, ensuring that dual credit course offerings are scheduled in alignment with academic and ISD needs. Work closely with ISD partners and academic departments to forecast course demand and ensure appropriate staffing and resources for dual credit courses. Additionally, monitor enrollment trends and make data-driven adjustments to course offerings, ensuring that students have access to the necessary courses while maintaining program efficiency and balance.
  • Identify patterns in student success or areas for improvement, particularly by grade level and course delivery format. Provide recommendations for interventions or program adjustments to support student achievement.
  • Offer guidance and support to faculty members and high school administrators in interpreting success rate data and implementing best practices to enhance student outcomes.
  • Works closely with the Dean of Dual Credit Partnerships and the Department of Accreditation & Institutional Effectiveness to review, update, and finalize the off-site prospectus. Additionally, collaborates with Instructional Deans and ISDs to evaluate the Off-Site Location Substantive Change Exception Report.


Additional Job Functions:



  • Creates and disseminates routine communications about dual credit office activities, processes, and procedures between the dual credit office, constituent ISDs, and applicable faculty members.
  • Creates handouts, brochures, website content, and ISD outreach communication.
  • Assists with building the budget and assessing departmental purchasing needs.
  • Works cooperatively with counterparts on the other campuses to achieve the College's annual goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with CETL to design and implement professional development programs for dual credit faculty.
  • Support dual credit faculty credentialing processes and track progress to ensure compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education:



  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally-accredited college/university


Required Experience:



  • One (1) year experience in secondary or higher education in a student services role


Preferred Experience:



  • Experience in dual credit or ECHS programs
  • Strong understanding of dual credit policies, course delivery, and curriculum alignment
  • Strong understanding of TEKS


NOTE: The duties of this position require a physical presence at the assigned on-site work location during unrestricted operations with very limited or no opportunity for remote work arrangements.

Salary Grade: 114
