Position Description:

As an Assembly Technician, you will be a crucial team member to complete the tank trailer. All work duties are performed under the direction and supervision of the department supervisor and team leads.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Below are examples of the type of duties you could be responsible for:



  • Receives work assignments from Supervisor and discusses job to minimize questions about what is to be done.
  • Primary duty will be to assemble FRP tank trailers.
  • Ability to learn how to operate plasma torch equipment and related equipment to perform cutting procedures, which ensure proper fit-up and appearance.
  • Uses Tig/Mig welders to weld stainless steel parts.
  • Uses devices (jigs) to maintain correct positioning.
  • Ability to learn methods of grinding welds, deburr rough metal, produce various finishes on metal.
  • Performs rework as required to ensure completeness and compliance with established specifications.
  • Coordinates with other employees to ensue needed materials are in the work area.
  • Uses hand tools as required.
  • Always follows established safety procedures and policies.
  • Maintains clean, orderly work area to minimize safety hazards.
  • Performs other duties as apparent or assigned.
  • Demonstrates ability to work in a cooperative manner with others.

Qualifications:



  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Basic reading /writing/ & verbal skills


Physical Demands:

As an Assembly Technician, you are regularly required to stand, walk, lean, push, climb, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, handle and operate tools or controls for the length of their entire shift. The employee needs full range of motion in their arms and hands in this position. All must be able to successfully communicate with fellow employees as well. Some Assembly Technicians also work in small spaces throughout their shift and frequently lift and/or carry objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus, along with good hand-eye coordination.
