Job Summary
The Global Supply Chain Senior Finance Analyst is a strategic and high impact contributor role that supports strategic and financial initiatives across the global supply chain. This role will support supply chain financial practices for budgeting, tracking of inflation, cost savings and other business metrics. In addition, the role will assist the Supply Chain organization in all financial analysis related to Supply Chain cost tracking and improvements. Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Analytical (40%)
- Provide regular consolidated global financial reporting for all key supply chain metrics to the center led Supply Chain team.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for the Inbound Supply Chain team.
- Coordinate with various BUs and regions to support standardization of reporting and analysis across the platform.
- Ensure monthly actual supply chain financial results are synchronized across various platforms and reporting. Investigate differences and make corrections to ensure perfect accuracy.
- Provide and gather data to ensure accurate supply chain financial reporting. Independently perform analysis on freight financial results. Explain variances and highlight opportunities for expense reductions.
- Lead and document analysis and consolidation of overall global freight rates by contract/spot, mode, lane, and business, managing a spend of over 100 million US.
- Partners closely with the supply chain team to support key productivity initiatives, including validation of savings and correlating key metrics to financial performance.
Reporting (40%):
- Develop standard report formats and collect data from a diverse user base using a diverse set of financial software applications.
- Create reports from multiple source data sets using SAP SAC-P and MS Excel.
- Consolidate and publish monthly/quarterly supply chain financial reports and help support businesses in researching explanations of results and variances from expectations/forecasts.
- Facilitate and support monthly reporting to review financials with Business Unit Senior Leadership teams. Publish reports for senior management in Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe pdf.
- Help drive continuous process improvement in supply chain financial reporting and analysis within Strategic Finance & Enterprise Reporting team and for businesses.
- Support the initiatives to organize multi-dimensional databases for Supply Chain reporting using SQL and SAP BPC functionalities.
- Lead and Engage with the Corp Supply Chain team and the Enterprise reporting team to enhance global supply chain reporting capabilities by utilizing latest BI tools.
Support and other ad hoc activities (20%)
- Support reporting by coordinating with all the BUs/regions and the various enabling functions with corporate shared services.
- Develops ad hoc financial reports at the request of management to support the analysis of supply chain trends and handle escalations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Profile
- Bachelor's degree required. Accounting or Finance degree preferred. MBA/CPA a plus.
- 5+ years of heavily weighted analytics experience in finance and accounting.
- Experience in systems and business analysis.
- Experience in leading in a cross-functional team environment.
Required Skills
- Frequent interaction with the Divisional Vice President of Distribution & Transportation and with the Global Vice President of Supply Chain.
- Knowledge of and experience with multi-dimensional database building and maintenance.
- Works independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to lead process improvement projects within function.
- Provide financial direction and decision support to the Divisional Vice President and the Global Vice President of Supply Chain, as they influence the different business units in managing inbound, outbound, and direct distribution expense.
- Provide financial fact-based decision support for strategic direction on supply chain projects.
- Skill working with large quantities of data in Microsoft Excel Pivot Tables is required.
- Detail oriented with a thorough attention to details with numbers and systems.
- Ability to multi-task effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to present analysis to management.
- Proficient level of analytical interpretation
