Location: Montgomery, IL

Pay Rate: Start; $20.75/hour

In 90 days; $21.25/hour

Position Summary:

TheOWOven Operatoris responsible for effectively performing all the required duties of the position in an accurate, thorough, and safe manner. Employees are responsible for producing a safe and quality food product per USDA guidelines and are required to report all food safety related problems to their Supervisor/Manager and/or to the Quality Assurance department to initiate immediate action.

DEPARTMENT: OLD WISCONSIN (SAUSAGE)

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Follow the HACCP program including developing a working knowledge of the Critical Control Points and Critical Limits as they pertain to the food safety of our product.
  • Starts, stops, and regulates temperature of ovens.
  • Push/pull racks in and out of the smokehouses, review processing schedules, operate smoke generators.
  • Cleans related equipment, including ovens
  • Inspects cooked product for obvious deficiencies during cooking process
  • Measures or weighs racks of product during and/or after cook cycles.
  • Takes responsibility of the work area to produce a safe and quality food product.
  • Reports all food safety related problems to your supervisor, manager, or to the quality assurance department to initiate immediate action.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.
