JOB SUMMARY
This position is a post-award manager overseeing two teams. This role requires the ability to lead and manage these teams, and their subject matter related to research administration. Both Revenue Cycle (billing, collections, revenue recognition) and Award Setup teams will report through this manager. Many tasks related to Month End Closeout and Year End activities occur across these teams and are interdependent across other Sponsored Programs Teams measuring success. Strong analytical skills and the drive to evoke change are imperative.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required



  • Education
    Bachelor's Degree In finance, accounting, or related field


  • Experience
    6 years experience in finance with demonstration in planning, forecasting, and financial analysis, plus analytical ability to understand complex financial activities of Health System


Preferred



  • Education
    Master's Degree in Business.


  • Experience
    Healthcare experience preferred with Master's Degree.


JOB DUTIES



  • Provides financial support for all areas of UT Southwestern.
  • Develops multi-year cash flow projections.
  • Identifies areas of financial risk, present findings, and makes recommendations to management.
  • Develops annual forecast of capital needs and manages allocation of funds.
  • Plans, leads, coordinates, and manages budgeting and forecasting activities. Evaluates, prioritizes, assigns and implements capital projects.
  • Manages, directs and plans evaluation of company's financial performance. Develops and recommends actions to achieve company financial objectives.
  • Provides strategic consultation and guidance to management on financial issues, evaluates business proposals and creates recommendations for optimizing financial impact on business initiatives.
  • Manages financial analyst staff.
  • Completes complex projects as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
