All These factors are: 1. An Associate or Baccalaureate degree in physical education or related field; 2. Certification and/or advanced achievement in the content area and/or as a health fitness instructor from a credible national organization, board or accrediting body; 3. Professional performance, honors, awards, or significant recognition that indicates the individual's level of discipline-based content knowledge; or 4. Other demonstrated competencies and achievements relevant to the content of the course. Applicants who are appointed to a UNM faculty position are required to provide an official certification of successful completion of all degree requirements prior to their initial employment with UNM.
