Advantage xPO is hiring an HVAC Technician to join our esteemed client's team. Pay rate: $30 - $32/hr.

Schedule: 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday

HVAC Technician essential tasks:



  • Perform thorough preventative maintenance on standard HVAC systems, including inspection and repair of belts, pulleys, drain lines, compressors, motors, and burners.
  • Diagnose and repair steam/hot water boiler systems and identify airflow and ducting issues.
  • Handle refrigerants safely and efficiently in compliance with EPA standards for package and split unit systems.
  • Safely troubleshoot and fix common mechanical, electrical, and system failures in HVAC and boiler systems.
  • Complete maintenance and repairs per work order instructions while following company, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Perform minor plumbing repairs such as unclogging drains, fixing leaks, and replacing fixtures.
  • Conduct basic carpentry and painting work to maintain facility appearance.
  • Handle minor electrical maintenance tasks allowed without a license, including fixture and outlet replacement.
  • Use technology (tablet/smartphone) to access work orders, log service reports, inspections, and submit administrative tasks.
  • Maintain strong client communication, attend safety trainings, provide estimates for projects, and support team operations as needed.


Qualifications:



  • High school diploma, degree/certification, or equivalent experience in landscaping, trades, or floor care preferred; 5+ years of HVAC/general maintenance experience required.
  • Skilled in multiple trades including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems maintenance.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively, including completing reports and presenting in small group settings.
  • Proficient in using handheld devices and business software (e.g., Microsoft Office, document databases) to manage work orders and reports.
  • Committed to safety compliance with OSHA standards, local codes, and company policies; daily local travel required.
