Job DescriptionThe Manager of Accelerated Training Solutions is responsible for generating revenue from industrial training projects for new and existing business clients and standing up training programs that reflect the needs of their assigned region. The position is also responsible for assessing the training needs and designing the programs, under the supervision of the regional Director of Accelerated Training Solutions, in order to meet the client's specific requirements and create mutually beneficial relationships. Requires travel and the ability to meet with new and existing clients and cultivate strong business relationships.

The minimum starting salary for this position is $64,525 with full state benefits.

The position in anticipated to be based at our Williamson County (Hutto) campus with some travel to New Braunfels, Sequin and the surrounding areas.

Candidates based in Texas or that have immediate plans to relocate in the near future will be considered.

Essential Functions

  • Employee will demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students and members of the community.
  • Contact industry prospects and clients and determine training needs. Coordinate the collaborative activities between TSTC, the industrial firm, and other external public and private organizations to assure the delivery of industrial training in accordance with the specified requirements. Coordinate TSTC resources to provide solutions for the determined needs of business and industry. Evaluate training program outcomes.
  • Conducts regional business analysis to determine training services needed for new and /or incumbent employees. Reviews goals/objectives to determine procedures for accomplishing the training project (may include establishing a timeline, staffing needs and budget). Establishes a detailed plan for each phase of project and directs, coordinates and modifies the activities of the project to ensure successful project completion.
  • Serve as a resource to industry in the development and execution of industrial training programs. Attend professional associations and industrial conferences/meetings to develop relationships with industry. Develop and maintain relationships with individuals and stakeholders who are responsible for business and industry in the state of Texas.
  • Prepare and submit reports and other required documentation to all stakeholders regarding project status. Develop and maintain participant documents for billing and record keeping.
  • Ensure that all required documents, files and forms are submitted to agency officials, if applicable, on a timely basis.
  • Maintain a good relationship with Student Learning personnel, including but not limited to the Provost's Office, Student Learning leadership and faculty, with intent to cultivate impactful training programs.
  • Provide presentations, workshops and seminars relating to the industrial training programs offered by TSTC.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills

  • Associate Degree in an appropriate field from an accredited college or university preferred, but not required.
  • Five plus years' experience working in business or industry in a Business Development capacity.
  • The ability to work with business and industrial people at all levels and with varied background and expertise.
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in new business development and consultative selling techniques.
  • Demonstrative ability in project management.
  • Skill in use of computers, particularly internet and other research tools.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare meaningful reports.
  • Ability to develop, plan and implement short and long range goals.
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Skill in conducting needs analysis and working with business and industry to determine training needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies.
  • This job description covers a position in which the percentage of time spent on the essential functions will vary based on the workload and will ultimately be determined by the supervisor.
