Position summary:

The Gas Supply Scheduler is responsible for all aspects of the gas supply scheduling process including contract utilization, nominations on upstream pipelines scheduling and allocation responsiveness, and counterparty engagement and logistics coordination. Understands the transportation logistics for movement of natural gas from supply source to BHE distribution system, extensive knowledge of pipeline electronic bulletin boards, ETRM systems, and is responsible for managing gas purchase and nomination transactions from inception to month end actualization.

Pay Range: $84,600 - $126,900/15 (This posting includes the full pay range for this position. Pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.)

Reporting Relationship: Senior Manager Gas Supply

Location: Denver, CO

Essential Functions:
* Interact with supplier counterparties to ensure all nomination information is coordinated and submitted accurately and timely for the applicable NAESB nomination cycle, and work diligently to resolve any discrepancies.
* Responsible for nominating all gas supply to the applicable gas pipeline company(-ies) without errors and by the nomination deadline to mitigate penalty exposure and to ensure gas supply flows.
* Balance the natural gas supply portfolio by pathing and actualizing volumes in Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) system, Endur, on a daily and monthly basis.
* Perform end of month closing tasks, including actualization of pipeline invoices to supply pathing activity in Endur, and act as a resource for internal accounting and external stakeholders to help resolve discrepancies with settlement activity.
* Is a natural gas supply scheduling subject matter expert, capable of assisting and training less experienced schedulers on all aspects of position.
* Must be able to independently determine if pipeline maintenance or constraints will impact current gas supply nominations, and take or recommend action for resolution.
* Solid understanding of all contracted transportation and storage service agreements, including rates and rights.
* Manage and maintain Capacity Release and AMA activity in the pipeline EBB and the BHE ETRM system to ensure revenue is recognized.

Additional Responsibilities:
* Learn gas supply portfolio management activities and provide commercial (gas purchasing) support to the Sr. Manager GSS, as needed or assigned. This will include independent decision-making regarding gas purchasing and storage utilization.
* Must be able to carry a company provided cell phone and work non-traditional hours (including some evenings/weekends/holidays)
* Provide analytical support to various projects and departments as needed.
* Demonstrates independent thinking skills to make scheduling changes with minimal or no oversight.

What Is Required:
* Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* 5 or more years of applicable experience required

What Is Desired:
* Scheduling experience on a variety of EBB's.
* Extensive experience using Microsoft Office products (especially Excel).
* Knowledge of the natural gas utility or similar industry.
* Planning, organization, problem solving, and analytical skills are critical.
* Knowledge of natural gas scheduling preferred, but transferrable experience will be considered.
* Ability to write and communicate effectively.
* Team Player with a positive attitude.
* Deals with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism
* Ability to prioritize activity and remain calm under high-pressure situations.
