Career Description

The Director of Information Technology is responsible for leading the company's IT strategy, operations, and digital transformation initiatives. This role provides strategic direction, governance, and hands-on leadership for IT systems supporting Azure-based custom web applications, Microsoft Dynamics Finance & Operations (F&O), Microsoft Dynamics Customer Experience (CRM), and manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in manufacturing IT, ERP implementations, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity, with a preference for expertise in the steel building products industry. This position ensures IT solutions align with business objectives while maintaining high standards of performance, security, and scalability.

While this position is WFH flexible, travel to plant locations and the corporate office will be required. Candidates located in the EST time zone are strongly preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with business and operational goals.
  • Lead and manage Microsoft Dynamics F&O and CRM platforms, ensuring seamless ERP and CRM operations across finance, supply chain, and customer management.
  • Oversee Azure cloud-based web applications, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance.
  • Define and enforce IT policies, governance frameworks, and cybersecurity best practices to protect company assets and data.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives, leveraging AI, automation, and analytics to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Manage IT infrastructure, networks, and cloud services to ensure business continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight to IT staff, ensuring best practices in ERP, CRM, and cloud development.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and finance teams to optimize IT solutions that support production planning and logistics.
  • Ensure IT compliance with industry regulations, cybersecurity standards, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships, IT contracts, and budgets, optimizing IT investments.
  • Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure IT effectiveness.
  • Create and promote a respectful and collaborative working environment.
  • Maintains a positive work environment by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with customers, co-workers, clients, and supervisors.
  • Manages direct reports through coaching and supporting their training, development, and productivity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
