We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Glass Manufacturing Supervisor to lead our production line. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hands on manufacturing operations, with expertise in optimizing production processes, ensuring product quality, and driving continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Inspects work areas to determine type of work required, materials and equipment needed and to be used.
  • Schedules and directs team members in production processes (windows and/or glass manufacturing).
  • Interviews, selects and trains new hires to ensure department is fully staffed for production needs and trains workers in equipment operation.
  • Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet schedules and assigns duties to workers.
  • Applies company policies and ensures compliance with safety regulations.
  • Responsible for assessing team member performance as well as identifying need for and administering corrective action
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems and assists team members in solving work problems.
  • Assists in development, and implements safety awareness programs, communicates safety issues, corrects safety related problems and assist in investigations into safety related issues. Assures team members are wearing proper PPE and following safety protocols at all times.
  • As needed will be required to perform the same work as those supervised.


SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE



  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, empathize and reason with people in situations that are often sensitive and stressful.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people of diverse backgrounds and employment levels within and outside an organization.
  • Ability to engage in crucial conversations when delivery or receipt of the message content is difficult and challenging.
  • Possess excellent written communication, data analysis, and project and time management skills.
  • Must possess organization, multi-tasking skills with the flexibility to manage multiple conflicting priorities and frequent change.
  • Ability to take initiative to identify and anticipate plant needs and make sound recommendations for implementation.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with little notice.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree and a minimum of 4 years experience in a manufacturing environment.

Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment required. Experience in building materials manufacturing and or glass production preferred.


Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.

Glass experience preferred.
