The opportunity The Data Services team ensures business-relevant data is curated, accurate, accessible, and convenient for use by the business to inform data-driven decisions and strategic plans. The Data Systems Analyst will report to the Data Systems Analyst Manager. You will be a technical individual contributor within the Data Services team that works as a liaison between the ITS department and other units within SNHU. You will work on projects, engages with multiple teams throughout the university, translates requirements into data and functional specifications, identifies and maps and models data requirements to develop solutions, participates in the testing and validation of solutions, researches and identifies data quality issues, monitors and investigates the impact of application changes to the data solutions, and researches all systems for additional data solutions to support the business. This role can be 100% remote in any of SNHU's approved working states. #LI-Remote. What You'll Do:
- You will provide technical support in all areas of data retrieval and delivery, including data extraction from multiple different data sources, combining/aggregating data, data requirements gathering, and development and deployment.
- You will consult and assist users in determining the appropriate data solution and its related data requirements to address our needs.
- You will gather functional and technical data requirements to create data solutions for our customers.
- You will use advanced modeling techniques to produce diagrams, models, and prototypes that illustrate system and data relationships, and business process flows for both all states.
- You will model data attributes that will be used by our customers to perform strategic analysis.
- You will collaborate with other analysts and customers to ensure congruency of reporting, minimize duplication of effort, and identify limitations in data sources and data delivery options.
- You will be a subject-matter-expert of our data sources, architecture, business rules, and logic.
- You will research and document data mapping for all business-relevant data solutions.
- You will promote communication and collaboration efforts between team and departments to guide common goal achievement and meet organizational goals.
- You will contribute to the research and identification of data quality issues.
- You will be a guide of the change management life cycle for the data solutions, ensure new fields are not redundant/unnecessary, and review for impact of changes downstream.
- You will investigate and document attribute usage to identify attributes that can be removed or have low adoption.
- You will investigate and document high-risk and medium-risk data attributes.
- You will create library of artifacts that explain the usage of data solutions to support our needs.
- You will research and identify data from all systems for business-relevant data solutions.

What We're Looking For:
- Experience in a quantitative, data-driven business environment working with data directly.
- Experience in a data analyst or business analyst role.
- Experience with data mapping and data modeling.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Experience working within Kanban and Agile methodologies.
- Experience identifying data quality issues.
- Advanced knowledge in relational database architecture, data warehousing, data manipulation, summarizing/aggregating data, and data extraction from multiple different data sources.
- Experience querying tools using advanced SQL code against SQL Server and Oracle databases.
- Experience gathering requirements, data requirements, and functional specifications.
- Experience with the software development lifecycle.
- Experience applying analytics to solve business problems.
- Experience in project management (defining goals, scope and timelines, analyzing/exploring data to distill insights, communicating results with rich visualizations).
- Experience with the development of data solutions such as data warehousing, data marts, tabular models, and reports.
- Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Understand interdependencies between transactional business systems, data models, and data solutions to propose system changes and troubleshoot production issues which impact business operations.
- Must have strong analytical, qualitative, and quantitative skills for data integrity testing.

Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $83,457.00 - $112,912.00.
