Testing Coordinator - Remote w/Deployment to Client Sites

IEM is looking for a Full Time - Testing Coordinator to join our dynamic team and be responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing all testing activities, both functional and non-functional testing for multiple AMI related systems.

Primary Location:



  • Work remotely and travel to client sites within Puerto Rico as needed.


  • Live anywhere that meets remote work requirements in the United States including Puerto Rico.


  • Preferred candidates will currently live in Puerto Rico.



Travel Requirements:



  • Employees will travel to complete work assignments and/or attend meetings.



Essential Functions:



  • Support development and maintenance of functional and technical requirements traceability matrices across all AMI integrations.


  • Develop and implement test plans and test cases.


  • Define and develop test data requirements as needed.


  • Coordinate and manage all testing activities.


  • Identify, document and track defects and issues and work with project team resources to resolve them.


  • Prepare and present test result reports


  • Conduct root cause analysis of defects.


  • Develop and maintain testing documentation


  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Experience: Three (3) years as a Test Coordinator or related experience that can be directly connected and communicated.


  • Three to Five (3-5) years Electric Utility experience.


  • Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analysis or a related field.


  • Experience with testing methods and tools such as Jira, etc.


  • Deep understanding of testing methodologies and tools.


  • Understanding of the typical business critical utility processes and their relationship to key systems (CIS, GIS, OMS, etc.).


  • Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with CC&B, Outage Management Systems, Meter Data Management Systems and Geographical Information Systems.

  • Remote Locations: All remote work environments require the ability to maintain minimum Internet speeds of 25 Mbps upload and 3 Mbps download, as well as a ping rate of 100 ms or less during working hours, regardless of the type and number of devices using your Internet connection. You must also have account privileges and access to your Internet service provider account during working hours for the purpose of maintaining the Internet connection, if needed.


  • Physical Requirements: During site assessments you may be asked to remain in a stationary period, sit, stand, bend, grab, or kneel; you should also be able to lift/carry between 10-30Lbs approximately and have 20/20 corrected vision.
