General Notes

Extensive hours during peak seasons. Additional hours will be required to include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This job is not suitable for remote work and consistent, on-site work is expected.

Purpose

Provide strategic oversight, leadership and coordination of the Texas Athletics Fan Services program and support for Game Operations.

Responsibilities
  • Join an elite team within the sports industry, collaborating with multiple partners and stakeholders to elevate Texas Athletics sporting events to world-class standards. Inspire and lead those who work and interact with our student-athletes and programs to deliver unparalleled experiences. The individual who fills this role successfully is empowered to deliver an exceptional experience for our student-athletes, coaches, employees, alumni, donors and fans. This person will oversee the Fan Services Program for all sports and events including the coordination of hiring and managing exceptional part-time & student assistants, and engaging training and education programs.

  • Deliver an exceptional experience for student-athletes, coaches, employees, alumni, donors and fans. Oversee the Fan Services Program for all sports programs and events, including the hiring and management of part-time employees, student assistants, and interns.

  • Drive continuous innovation to achieve excellence and position Texas Athletics as a leader in college athletics. Lead the "Texas Fan First" social media initiative in collaboration with our talented social media team. Monitor and respond to all forms of communication, including emails, social and digital media, and voicemails. Ensure that all maps, internet links, fan guides, and signage are current across all digital platforms and stadiums.

  • Design and implement comprehensive training and education programs to ensure effective training, education, and oversight of direct reports and department colleagues. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively and responding promptly to inquiries from various stakeholders within Texas Athletics, the campus, and the surrounding community.

  • Provide necessary support in the Game Operations areas for various athletic and non-athletic events. Organize and manage the ADA golf cart shuttle program and Fan Information booths for home and select events. Organize gameday golf cart rentals and coordinate occasional stadium tours. Oversee troubleshooting and logistics for ATMs, Cash-to-card kiosks, and charging stations within Texas Athletics facilities.

  • Consistently exemplify the core values and quality service standards of Texas Athletics. Always act ethically. Proactively seek guidance when unsure or unclear of a law, rule or policy applicable to you or your department/sport program. Actively participate in assigned education and training programs. Comply with all laws, policies, rules and regulations set forth by the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System, The University of Texas at Austin, NCAA, Conference, or other governing body, including state and federal laws.Annually obtain prior written approval and report all outside activities and outside income. Report knowledge of, or reasonable cause to believe, violation(s) of state or federal laws, policies, rules, or regulations of the University, Conference, or NCAA to IA ARMCS or IA HR.Fully cooperate with any investigation by providing complete and accurate information when requested to do so by Texas Athletics and/or the NCAA and do not influence others in any way during an investigation. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a field related to the work to be performed. One year of experience coordinating or administering a fan experience or assisting game operations at a Division I level. Demonstrated willingness to go above and beyond and provide support to teammates and other units as needed. This position is designated as a Responsible Employee, pursuant to Title IX and University policy. Responsible Employees have a duty to promptly report incidents as per policy to the University Title IX Coordinator or Deputy Title IX Coordinators. Responsible Employees are not confidential reporting resources. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Over five years of responsible level experience in fan services and experience. Over 3 years experience in Division I, Intercollegiate Athletic experience setting up, breaking down, working, planning and coordinating events.

Driving Required

This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident.
