The innovation marketing manager will lead marketing efforts for our innovative offerings through the creation and consistent use of key messaging to attract potential clients and win internal adoption. The successful candidate will be a forward thinker who excels in marketing strategy for SaaS, technology, or B2B product marketing, and knows how to implement successful change management in large organizations.
This role is responsible for the development and execution of comprehensive marketing and communications plans to enhance Terracon's brand presence and accelerate profitable growth, including:
  • Create and maintain promotional collateral and resources.
  • Collaborate with product and client development teams to capture market needs and competitive intelligence.
  • Manage creative campaigns and digital marketing strategy, lead generation, tradeshows/conferences, social media, and advertising efforts.
  • Identify thought leadership opportunities and partner with our client development and technical professionals to prepare webinars, abstracts, and articles.
  • Demonstrate expertise with and help drive our Client Relationship Management (CRM) system use.

Reporting to our external communications director, this individual will partner with the broader corporate marketing team to support emerging technologies including:
  • Pivvot, a SaaS platform offering location intelligence for routing and siting analysis, identification of risks, and navigation of regulatory and environmental permitting.
  • Pavement consulting solutions that leverage digital data collection and artificial intelligence (AI) to create customized, data-driven pavement management strategies.
  • Stage1, a proprietary desktop study delivering geotechnical and environmental assisting clients to estimate risk, schedule, and budget.
  • Future offerings as identified through organic growth or acquisition.
Essential Role and Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Marketing Planning
    • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communications plans aligned with strategic growth goals.
    • Lead the facilitation of marketing strategies getting input and buy-in from product leadership, client development, and corporate marketing and communications reflecting trends, opportunities, and competitive intelligence.
    • Collaborate with senior and innovation leaders to set KPIs, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of campaigns, utilizing analytics tools to measure ROI.
  • Change Management
    • Create, execute, and measure success of communication plans supporting internal adoption.
    • Work directly with leaders in offices, strategic business sectors, and service lines to support targeted and companywide tool usage while positioning the value story for employee-owners and clients.
    • Collaborate with the corporate marketing and communications teams to share successes and developments within the innovation service offerings.
  • Digital Marketing
    • Manage, mentor and develop a team. (Currently 1 direct report).
    • Collaborate with corporate marketing and communications and key consultants on lead generation, website content, SEO, video, social media, email marketing, and online advertising.
  • Content Development
    • Create ideal customer profiles, develop key messages, and map client journeys.
    • Work with our brand team to develop compelling value and expertise stories demonstrating innovative use cases within service lines and sectors.
    • Manage the creation of high-quality content, including Pivvot website, abstracts, articles, case studies, and presentations.
  • Thought Leadership and Event Management
    • Identify opportunities for speaking engagements and partner with technical professionals to develop thought leadership pieces that showcase expertise and innovation.
    • Plan and execute trade shows, conferences, webinars, and client events.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Build market intelligence feedback loop to enhance adoption internally, product development, and client preferences and attitudes for changes to strategic messaging.
Hybrid position requiring in-person, in-office work, and potential travel.
Requirements:
  • SaaS, product, or A/E/C industry marketing experience/knowledge required.
  • Digital marketing and lead generation experience.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and technology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in marketing software and tools, such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, CRM systems, and marketing automation platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related degree and 10 years of marketing and communications experience. Alternatively, instead of a degree, 15 years of related experience.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
