Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our Cardiology department, specializing in rooming patients and supporting our cardiologists in providing high-quality care.

As a Medical Assistant in the Cardiology department, your primary responsibility will be rooming patients and preparing them for their appointments. You will work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients are ready for their exams and procedures, and that the clinic runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Rooming: Greet patients, take and record vital signs, gather medical history, and prepare patients for their cardiology appointments.
  • Patient Preparation: Explain procedures to patients, answer questions, and ensure they are comfortable and informed before their exams.
  • Documentation: Accurately enter patient information, vital signs, and test results into the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Patient Flow Management: Coordinate patient flow, ensuring that exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for the next patient. Help manage the schedule to minimize wait times.
  • Follow-Up: Provide patients with post-visit instructions and schedule follow-up appointments as needed. Assist with patient inquiries regarding their care.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the cardiology team to ensure that each patient receives thorough and timely care.

This position is assigned to Primary Provider, but you may float to our 3 other locations as needed.


Qualifications
  • Current Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant.
  • High school diploma.
  • BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.
