The Manager of Health Programs is responsible for the operation and clinical process improvement of United Healthcare's (UHC) value-based contracts (VBC), health equity, and health neighborhood programs in Colorado. The Manager of Health Programs is responsible for coordination of programs across UHC's local and national matrix. This role is primarily focused on the management of Medicaid programs, but includes support of essential programs for Medicare, CHP+ and IFP products.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Co-create and write program policies, procedures, and logic models
  • Coordinate day-to-day operation of 1,200+ VBC in the CO Market
  • Align operations and clinical policies within UHC's VBC with Northeast Health Partners business
  • Manage program budgets and coordinate with CFO to complete financial reports
  • Oversee UHC's Colorado community reinvestment program
  • Design and implement provider incentive programs in alignment with state requirements
  • Complete reporting for VBC, SDoH, health neighborhood, and community reinvestment for state and federal compliance
  • Maintain relationships with external organizations to identify and implement programs to improve health outcomes
  • Monitor and evaluate program outcomes
  • Prepare and present reports to internal and external stakeholders on program performance and impact.

Required Qualifications:



  • 3+ years of experience working in healthcare or related field
  • 1+ years of experience working with behavioral heath providers and community organizations
  • Proven excellent writing and communication skills



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in Managed Care
  • Experience managing community based programs
  • Working knowledge of Colorado's provider payment programs (prospective payment system for behavioral health and primary care providers)

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
