JOB DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Transports clients safely in agency vehicle to appointments and other venues as indicated. Inspects agency vehicle for defects before and after trips and reports any issues with vehicle condition to supervisor. Maintain all vehicle logbooks. Follow all traffic laws and ensure there is enough gas in the tank at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Transports clients to doctor appointments, shopping, etc. May be required to assist passengers with special needs.
• Performs vehicle daily inspections to ensure safety. Inform supervisor of any issues that require attention.
• Driver transports individuals with substance use/ co-occurring disorders so basic use of a breathalyzer and NARCAN is required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
• Knowledge of safe driving standards.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Working knowledge of substance us and co-occurring disorders.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Level

High School or Equivalency Diploma.

Years of Experience

Minimum of two years of experience.

Certification/Licensure

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
