Position Summary

The successful candidates will need to possess excellent customer service skills. The Data Collector has direct responsibility for successful interactions with customers, subcontractors and other key Government personnel. This position requires effective communication with the customers, as well as internal personnel. Data entry operator responsibilities include collecting and entering data and maintaining accurate records. Must have an eye for detail and familiarity with spreadsheets. Previous experience as a Data Collector or similar position will be considered an advantage. This is a surge position. Days and hours of work will vary due to requirements.

This position is contingent upon contract funding.

What You'll Do

Your day-to-day activities include, but are not limited to:

• Observe equipment operations and maintenance and generate detailed logs or notes which accurately represent system performance within the scope of the weapon system test and prescribed data collections procedures
• Prepares source data for entry by compiling and organizing data
• Enters data by operating data entry equipment i.e. computers, tablets and other devices
• Verifies and balances data by reviewing and making corrections as needed
• Completes data management by sorting, batching and archiving files
• Prepares data results for further analysis by other team members
• Additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to contractual requirements
• Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Suite and other software programs
• Comfortable with and able to communicate effectively
• Possess the ability to complete and deliver required work, with minimal supervision in a timely manner
• General knowledge of weapon system test and evaluation process
• Knowledge of weapons system operations and maintenance procedure
• Active DoD Secret Clearance

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions to include intense heat, heavy wind blowing and, heavy rain and possibly snow. Must be able to climb in and out of military vehicles and related equipment.
