Key Responsibilities * *Conduct Security Assessments:* Perform application security assessments and penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities and security issues. * *Collaborate with Development Teams:* Work closely with software development teams to ensure secure coding practices are implemented throughout the application development lifecycle. * *Implement Security Solutions:* Design and implement security solutions to protect applications from potential threats. * *Security Best Practices:* Provide guidance and recommendations on application security best practices. * *Incident Response:* Participate in incident response and handling activities related to application security incidents. * *Security Awareness:* Conduct security awareness and training sessions for the development team to promote secure coding practices. * *Develop Security Standards:* Develop and maintain application security standards, policies, and procedures. * *Integrate Security Tools:* Integrate security tools and practices into the continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline, with a focus on Snyk. * *Monitor Security Trends:* Maintain knowledge of the latest security trends, threats, and countermeasures. *Requirements:* * *Developer **Background**:* Strong background in software development with experience in secure coding practices. * *Experience with Snyk:* Hands-on experience with Snyk for identifying and managing vulnerabilities in code and dependencies. * *Technical Skills:* Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript). * *Security Knowledge:* In-depth knowledge of application security principles, OWASP Top 10, and other security frameworks. * *SDLC Understanding:* Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies. * *Problem-Solving Skills:* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about security challenges. * *Communication Skills:* Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $75.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
