Nestle USA, Inc. seeks a Senior Specialist Quality in Arlington VA

Duties: Provide sensory expertise to ensure success in Innovation/Renovation activities. Contribute to building sensory expertise and promoting the use of sensory evaluation. Manage external panel by screening, recruitment, training and monitoring their performance. Lead and conduct Innovation & Renovation related studies (descriptive analysis) with external panel. Maintain records of external panel attendance and administers panels information. Help with the preparation and execution of training sessions for internal panel. Perform data statistical analysis and write reports as needed. Participate in discussions with clients for appropriate test selection, execution, data analysis and reporting to meet business objectives. Maintain Laboratory SOP's and other documentation to ensure proper and safe laboratory operation and product handling. Responsible for planning and execution of shelf-life sensory testing. Collaborate in designing In/Out quantitative sensory references for integration of Key Sensory Attributes into the factories Quality System. Support sensory evaluation training for sensory quality assessment in NUSA and co-manufactures' plants. Telework is acceptable up to 1 day per week.

Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Food Science, Food Technology, Sensory Science or a closely related field plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a sensory role. Required experience must include 2 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Working with sensory evaluation software including Sens IT;
  • Experience with discrimination, descriptive and Quality Assurance sensory methods;
  • Experience working as a panel leader for recruiting, training, managing and leading external sensory panels;
  • Experience in statistical analysis and interpretation of sensory tests;
  • Working with statistical software including Minitab, XLSTAT, R, and SAS;
  • Working with sensory data collection software including SensIT, Compusense, and Redjade.

Work Location: 1812 N Moore Street, Arlington, VA 22209. Telework is acceptable up to 1 day per week.
