Buyer/ Plant Procurement Analyst II

The Buyer/Plant Procurement Analyst will also be responsible for various procurement, purchasing and/or buying tasks. This role is based out of Chillicothe, MO and would require this individual to be on site regularly.

Role Responsibilities:

• Purchases parts, materials and supplies for use in the manufacturing process using the material requirement planning (MRP) report and KanBan system. This includes reviewing the MRP report daily and visually inspecting inventory for requirements.
• Places order and expedites when necessary.
• Manages inventory through conducting checks to determine the status of inventory and placing orders based on the MRP system and production forecast.
• Responsible for order release & shipment follow up, working closely with planners, transportation & shipping/receiving to make sure all materials arrive at plant in time.
• Play an active role in plant transfer & localization projects, work with cross functional team to implement raw material & supplier transfer placidly
• Works through various quality issues including handling rejected materials, notifying supplier of quality problems, processing defective parts, and maintaining and improving raw materials specification.Authorizes return of merchandise.
• Monitors and rates supplier performance through delivery/quality reports, on-site audits and daily communication.Provide feedback on supplier performance issues.
• Works closely with SC Manager on achieving inventory dollar and DIO goals for the plant
• Codes invoices for approval.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in manufacturing environment
• Experience with direct material categories including Purchase Orders and Invoice processing
• Exposure to ERP systems such as Oracle E-Business Suite (R12)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred

• Previous leadership experience

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel to perform data analysis and ad-hoc reports

• Good communication skills and a strong sense of teamwork

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks effectively

• Experience in lean manufacturing environment
