Are you a detail-oriented problem-solver with a passion for optimizing processes and driving innovation in manufacturing? We're seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Binghamton, NY to join our dynamic team! This role plays a vital part in designing, implementing, and improving machining processes that power our production lines.

Salary: $65,000 - $90,000/yr.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes and layouts for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Apply your expertise in CNC milling, turning, grinding, and drilling
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions
  • Drive cost-reduction initiatives by minimizing waste and enhancing resource utilization
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams
  • Lead or support continuous improvement projects (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Introduce new technologies and machinery to boost capability and output
  • Design tooling and fixtures for machining operations
  • Document improvements and report on key performance metrics


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in a machining environment (machine shop background preferred)
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software like SolidWorks, AutoCAD
  • Understanding of technical drawings, G-code, ERP systems, and quality control standards
  • Strong analytical thinking and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma (a plus)
