POSITION SUMMARY: The Consultant - Transportation (Customer Focused) is responsible for working cross-functionally to drive improvement in customer initiatives. This position will play a critical role in enhancing on-time delivery, payload efficiency, customer pickup processes, and sustainability efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excel in collaboration and change management, and have a keen analytical mindset. Furthermore, a deep understanding of the overall transportation strategy and industry insights is essential. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive Customer Initiatives: Enhance customer experience by improving on-time delivery, payload efficiency, and customer pickup processes.
- Sustainability Efforts: Lead initiatives aimed at increasing sustainability within transportation operations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to ensure alignment and effective implementation of customer-focused strategies.
- Leadership: Provide direction and guidance to teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Change Management: Effectively manage and drive change within the organization to support customer-focused initiatives.
- Analytical Skills: Utilize data and analytics to inform decision-making and measure the success of implemented strategies.
- Industry Insights: Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to inform transportation strategy.
REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or a related industry, with a focus on customer initiatives.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve strategic goals.
- Collaboration: Strong ability to work cross-functionally and build effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Change Management: Experience in managing and driving organizational change.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to support strategic decision-making.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of transportation strategy and industry insights.
