Position OverviewThis position supports all responsibilities related to the development of cost estimates/proposals for large and small quoting and cost savings projects for the division. This position oversees accurate processing of intercompany sales to other divisions. In addition, this position is responsible for activities related to purchasing and reconciliation of a portion of customer orders manufactured outside our facility.Responsibilities* Responsible for converting requests for estimates to real costs by utilizing estimating software programs. * Identifying and filling information gaps required to provide accurate costs. * Resolving discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. * Utilizing knowledge of company manufacturing equipment to best minimize production costs. * Working in conjunction with the Estimating Manager to prioritize projects, establish work standards, develop objectives, and design/maintain effective workflows and operating procedures. * Obtaining bids from subcontractors. * Finalizing and emailing price quotes to customers. * Providing direct support to sales and customers. * Daily oversight and processing of intercompany sales to Chicago to ensure accurate and timely delivery. * Participate on cross functional process improvement teams. * Manage miscellaneous projects. Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in one of the following: Business, Accounting, Finance, or Math * 1-5 years of estimating/costing experience with customer service or sales support experience preferred. Previous corrugated industry experience is a plus. * A minimum of 3 years of computer skills with Excel is required. * Strong working knowledge of costing in a manufacturing environment. * Strong mathematical and problem solving skills. * Strong organizational skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
