We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled QC Laboratory Technician to join our Quality Control team. The ideal candidate will have experience in analytical testing methods and a strong understanding of laboratory procedures. This role will focus on testing and verifying metal particles and raw materials to ensure compliance with internal standards and customer requirements. Looking for 1+ years of laboratory experience in an industrial or materials testing environment.

• Experience using one or more of the following instruments is strongly preferred: ICP, AA Spectroscopy, SEM, Particle Size Analyzer, or Rheometer.
• Completion of formal training in ICP, AA Spectroscopy, SEM, or rheological techniques is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

Key Responsibilities:

Perform laboratory analyses on metal powders and raw materials as directed by the QC Lab Manager. Operate a variety of lab instruments with accuracy and proficiency, including:

• Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) Spectroscopy
• Ion Chromatography
• Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AA)
• Particle Size Analysis
• Titration and Viscosity
• Surface Area Measurement
• Thermo-Gravimetric Analysis (TGA), Thermo Mechanical Analysis (TMA)
• Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM)
• Color Analysis and Rheometry

Identify and report any results that fall outside of specification or show statistical trends. Prepare nonconformance reports for internal and supplier materials. Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment. Follow all OSHA and company safety and environmental protocols.

Education:

Associate or bachelor's degree in chemistry, Material Science, or a related technical field preferred.
