Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Process Support/PDM Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of control systems and managing the predictive maintenance and data collection program equipment within our facility. This role is critical in ensuring optimal performance and reliability of our manufacturing processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular preventive/predictive maintenance on control equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Analyze system performance and recommend improvements or upgrades.
  • Documentation: PDM route maintenance, informing of potential equipment component failures, forecasting of failures, tracking of equipment components performance
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, operators, and other technicians to optimize processes and ensure seamless integration of control systems.
  • Coordinate with the Overhaul TML to facilitate repairs on issues identified through the PDM system.
  • Organize and maintain the data collection and predictive maintenance program.
  • Develop: PDM Program to maintain and monitor all aspects of predictive maintenance to include the use of vendor-based testing and monitoring.
  • Post PDM reports by area and by type on Z:\Common\PDM reports folder.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Continued

  • Assist in development and reporting of PDM KPIs.
  • Grow our PDM Program per the Asset Management Strategy
  • Installation & Maintenance: Install, test, and maintain control systems, including PLCs, drives, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve control system issues promptly to maintain production efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of control system configurations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
  • Develop and update standard operating procedures for control system operations.
  • Assist in training technicians, operators and other staff on control system functionalities
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all aspects of control system work. Participate in safety audits and contribute to a culture of safety within the facility.

Qualifications and Skills

Education:



  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation, or a related field; or equivalent experience.


Experience:



  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Tech III or a Controls Technician role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC programming and control system troubleshooting.
  • Experience in Predictive Maintenance environment is a plus but not required.
  • SAP PM experience preferred.

    Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and control systems, including circuits, sensors, and actuators.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and control diagrams.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to electrical and control systems.

Personal Attributes

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including noise, temperature variations, and confined spaces.
