Utz Quality Foods is on the lookout for a Warehouse Utility Associate to join our high-energy Sales Operations team at our Indianapolis, IN Distribution Center. This isn't your typical warehouse gig - you'll be at the heart of our distribution process, keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes and stepping into the spotlight when needed to deliver products to our customers. Key Responsibilities





  • Open and close the warehouse according to the scheduled times.



  • Verify product selection and loading accuracy by checking load tickets for Independent Operators and Distributors.



  • Train and mentor new warehouse team members.



  • Order, receive, store, and load inventory while ensuring product condition and accountability.



  • Unload incoming trailers and check load accuracy.



  • Maintain accurate daily inventory using a hand-held device to track warehouse balances, daily and extra orders, returns, and trailer loads.



  • Accept and document return-to-stock items, stale, and damaged products.



  • Handle returned cardboard and damaged goods by preparing them for trailer return.



  • Maintain overall warehouse cleanliness, including restrooms.



  • Keep warehouse organized and ensure proper product rotation.



  • Cover open delivery routes as assigned:




    • Maintain planogram standards in all assigned stores.



    • Stock products efficiently and rotate merchandise to ensure freshness.



    • Remove outdated or unsaleable products.



    • Deliver and merchandise product at customer locations using point-of-sale materials when needed.





  • Assist in monthly inventory counts.




Job Requirements





  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; 2+ years of warehouse experience strongly desired.



  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Systems (e.g., D365) is highly preferred.



  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping and product handling.



  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.



  • Basic math skills required.



  • Ability to make decisions independently, especially during promotional periods.



  • Valid driver's license required.



  • Must be 19 years or older.



  • Must possess or be able to obtain a DOT medical card.



  • Must be able to safely operate a step van or box truck and cover route deliveries when needed.



  • Forklift experience or ability to use a hand jack may be required.



  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel.



  • Physical requirements include frequent walking, standing, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and lifting.



  • Ability to handle, lift, and transport light to medium-weight products regularly.



  • Driving a company vehicle (van or box truck) is required.
