Business Unit Overview

This role reports into New York Life's Foundational Business Practice Management team. The Practice Management team provides strategic and operational support to agents/ advisors and their teams, helping them streamline their business operations, improve client service, and grow their practices.

Role Overview:
As a Strategic Marketing Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert marketing guidance to New York Life's agents and advisors. You will work closely with these advisors and their teams to craft tailored marketing strategies, enhance client engagement, and optimize business operations. This role serves as a liaison between advisors and New York Life, ensuring they have the resources, insights, and tools needed to build strong client relationships, drive growth, and improve practice efficiency. The consultant also supports the execution of agent training and development programs and collaborates with internal teams to ensure advisors receive optimal service and guidance.

What You'll Do:

Advisory and Consulting Support:
* Provide coaching and consulting to agents/advisors on business development, client relationship management, and practice efficiency.
* Identify opportunities to optimize workflow, improve client engagement, and enhance overall productivity within the advisory practice.
* Offer guidance on developing and executing business plans and marketing strategies tailored to the producer's unique goals.
* Identify opportunities to help advisors navigate team structures (e.g., multi-advisor practices, hybrid teams), fostering productive partnerships that maximize client service and business growth.

Strategic Marketing Support:
* Identify opportunities to optimize marketing workflows, enhance client engagement, and elevate productivity through innovative marketing solutions.
* Help agents/advisors develop and execute business and marketing plans tailored to their specific goals, including strategies for client acquisition, retention, and brand positioning.
* Offer insights on leveraging digital marketing strategies, such as social media, email campaigns, and content marketing, to reach and engage with target clients effectively.

Training and Development:
* Develop and deliver training programs to agents/advisors and support staff, focusing on practice management, technology, and operational best practices.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement by keeping stakeholders informed about new tools, technologies, and strategies that could enhance their practice.
* Provide ongoing support to ensure agents/advisors and support staff are using systems and tools efficiently.

Collaboration with Internal Teams:
* Contribute to the development and execution of strategic initiatives that align internal resources and business objectives, ensuring sustainable growth and operational efficiency.
* Work closely with other internal departments (marketing, technology, compliance, operations) to ensure that agents/advisors are equipped with the necessary resources and tools.
* Coordinate efforts between agents/advisors and senior leadership to enhance service delivery, align strategic goals, and drive business outcomes.

What You'll Bring:

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
* 7+ years of experience in financial services, wealth management, or practice management.
* Proven experience in advising and managing the dynamics of advisor teams, including role delineation, collaboration strategies, and conflict resolution.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively advise and engage with agents/advisors.
* Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to adapt to changing business needs.
* Experience with financial advisor coaching, business consulting, or strategic planning (preferred).
* Industry experience (preferred)

Pay Transparency

Salary Range:$115,000 - $150,000

Overtime eligible:Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible:Yes

Sales bonus eligible:No

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.

Please note: This role requiresFINRA licensedand/or FINRA Associated Person pre-hire fingerprinting.
