Job Description

The Quality Technician/ Claim Specialist is responsible for conducting routine tests and inspections on products, isolating non-conforming product, managing inventory holds, assisting the Quality Assurance Manager with data collection. The technician performs material inspections & records results, as well as assisting with ISO compliance and training. The Quality Technician participates in special projects as needed and works with other departments to ensure a quality product. They will also be heavily involved in the supplier claims process and work with our steel vendors to be reimbursed for non-confirming product.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree or commensurate experience in a related field required

• Strong analytical skills and critical thinking required.
• Ability to work well both independently and with a team.
• Ability to learn the steel industry and supplier claims process
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and gauge management programs preferred
• ERP knowledge required;
• PPAP/APQP experience also preferred.

Pay Range: $26.00-$35.00 per hour
