About the Role HOT JOB - IMMEDIATE OPENING! Culmen International is seeking a skilled and proactive Commissioning Test and Inspection Lead to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in overseeing the lifecycle of radiation portal monitor (RPM) system commissioning and decommissioning projects in the DHS Radiation Portal Monitor Program (RPMP). This is a remote/hybrid role with 70% travel in the domestic U.S. (TX, CA, WA, MI, SC, VA, FL, MS, NJ, and NY). The desired candidate will be required to commute to Bethesda, MD 20814 two (2) to three (3) times per month during the first three (3) months on-the-job for hands-on programming of the test bed equipment. This position is subject to 75% outdoor/25% indoor working conditions on-site in all elements of weather and land. The RPMP Systems Engineering & Integration Lead will provide industrial instrument and automation programming technical expertise to CWMD's Radiation Portal Monitor Program, working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) to include field support during installation and commissioning at the site. This position is subject to 75% outdoor/25% indoor working conditions on-site in all elements of weather and land. What You'll Do in Your New Role
Conduct field travel (70%) to various locations in the U.S. Field travel activities include site surveys and field testing, implementation, and commissioning of PLCs, HMIs, and industrial instruments
Required Qualifications
Desired Qualifications * Experience with MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and design tools (AutoCAD, Visio, Bluebeam)
* Demonstrated ability to work with multiple engineering fields to identify technical product characteristics to develop requirement specifications for designs.
* Experience working with U.S. federal government customers preferred
* Experience working with U.S. Customs and Border Protection preferred

The projected compensation range for this position is $105,000 - $140,000 annually. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Culmen's total compensation package for employees.
