MRI Technologist - PRN

Job Description:

Operates magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images of patients for medical interpretation. Interact directly with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging studies and patient safety.

Job Duties

• Operate MRI equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images of the body according to established protocols and physician orders.
• Perform basic image processing techniques such as windowing, reconstruction, and multiplanar reformatting to enhance visualization of anatomical structures and abnormalities.
• Assist radiologists and physicians in image interpretation, providing technical support and documentation of relevant findings.
• Greet patients and explain MRI procedures, ensuring they understand what to expect and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
• Adhere to MRI safety protocols, including screening patients for contraindications, ensuring proper use of magnetic field safety equipment, and monitoring for potential hazards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• No experience required.
• ARRT Registration is required.
• Military training graduate of JRCERT accredited program can substitute for ARRT registration requirement.

Preferred Requirements

• Two years of experience working as an MRI Tech in a hospital or medical imaging facility preferred.
