Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking an IT Services Manager to provide technical guidance to a team of IT professionals as well as to act as the Deputy Program Manager for the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) at Arnold AFB. This is a full-time position.



Responsibilities

    Provide daily supervision, quality control, and oversight for the communications, network, and data center needs of the Arnold Engineering Test Complex IT services contract.
  • Assist the Program Manager in monitoring program status and resolving problems with minimal impact to operations performance.
  • Develop and provide network and project status reports to the government.
  • Assist in organizing, directing, and managing contract operation support functions, involving multiple project tasks.
  • Assist in managing teams of contract support personnel at multiple locations.
  • Maintain and manage the client interface at the senior levels of the organization.
  • Meet with customers, outside vendors, and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items.
  • Assist the program manager in ensuring conformance with program task cost and schedules, administer workforce discipline, and conformance with regulatory guidance.


Qualifications

10+ years experience in IT service management with a strong technical background. Bachelor's degree in a related field. Must be Security+ certified (or other certification in compliance with DoD 8570 requirements for IAT Level II). Experience leading a technical team and comfortable providing direction and guidance to others. Experience with DoD IT systems and military protocols preferred. Able to provide clear and concise directions to staff regarding project execution. Able to motivate and direct staff members and subordinates. Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks. Must be a US citizen. Must hold a minimum of a current Secret clearance and be eligible for a Top Secret clearance.
